I have been working with Nuovo Restaurant in Northampton recently , the process will take three separate shoots .The first job was to go in and take some atmospheric shots of the bar , interiors , exteriors e.t.c.
I was given a bit of a free range on the shoot , and being experienced in this field I felt confident I could get exactly what was needed. Equipment used was a Nikon D800 , and any available light ! The studio lights were left out of the job as the restaurant is fairly light anyhow , and with a tripod I could manage any tricky shots that needed a longer exposure time.
I wanted to concentrate on the bar area first , and I was delighted with the results , more importantly the client was too. Upstairs at Nuovo is a seperate dining area , and the client had not got a good photo of that , so I was happy to oblige , I went in on an evening to capture the room with all the lights on and the tables set for dining. On the same evening I also captured some of the diners in the restaurant and also in the outside space , these shots will add to the clients website as all that is there already are shots of an empty restaurant, we needed people in the shots!
I took some detail shots of bottles , bar areas , and anything I thought may look good . The shoot was successful and I had an assistant Dean O'Keeffe a final year Photography student from the University of Northampton helping me out on the day.
Onward to the next shoot in a week or so to get some shots of the chefs , prepping food and bar staff doing some cocktails etc , should be fun and I have plenty of ideas for this one! Scroll through the gallery below to see a selection of the work.
